How the Referral System works

Back to SchoolBank’s collaborative approach with community groups and professionals enables them to identify and support children and young people who are in genuine need of assistance. This partnership ensures that every referral is made thoughtfully, taking into account the unique circumstances and requirements of the child or young person.

Upon receiving a referral, Back to SchoolBank promptly reaches out to discuss the next steps in the process. This may include gathering further information about the child’s specific needs or coordinating with the referrer to arrange for the delivery of essential school items. The ultimate goal is to provide the necessary support that will enable the child or young person to thrive in their educational environment, regardless of their financial situation.

By fostering strong relationships with community groups and professionals, Back to SchoolBank continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of countless children and young people facing hardship, empowering them to overcome obstacles and succeed in their educational pursuits.

We work in complete anonymity and we don’t accept direct referrals from families or individuals.
All referrals must be made through the usual channels, for instance, from any third sector organisation such as Citizens Advice, Womens Aid or council departments such as Social Work or Money Advice or directly from schools themselves.
